Can anybody suggest the starting settings for the 071 camera using hyperstar on a C11?
I use Gain 200 and offset 50, I took the latest ETA carina nebulae image , 60 second exposure will be plenty but need to take lots of them . I have the same camera
you can using highest Dynamic range or utinity gain, the option is in camera setting.
I recommand highest Dynamic range for HyperStar.
Great thanks for your help. I'll try both. I've been using unity gain but calculating my exposure time has been difficult. The hyperstar is supposed to be 25 times to every minute of normal shooting, so I have been looking at peoples images and then doing the math to try and figure out what I should do to get the same exposure.
I am also shooting at f/2; not with a hyper star but a camera lens. 30 to 40s subs have worked well at unity gain. The data really piles up with all the sort subs thus post processing takes a long time.
