Hello all,
I bought yesterday a ASI120MM-S mainly for guiding my telescope. I noticed the following issues. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
1) either on the MacPro 13" or on a Win10 Laptop I see a structures in the pictures like if every second column and row is kind of grey. This is see at 1280x960. I am not sure what this is. If I look at captured frames the structure is still in but not that strong as when using the preview in the application I use

2) Neither under Windows nor OSX I am able to send ST4 commands to my mount. I tried really a lot but nothing help to control my mount. The ST4 cable is a cable which works for a original ST4 from SBIG. Forgot to add: On Mac I am using the OpenPHD2 2.6.3 with ZWO ASI Camera and Mount On-camera. On Win10 I tried also OpenPHD2 2.6.3 with different options one try was with the same settings as on the Mac. The other setting I tried was the Ascom variant but both don't work. Also going to the manual mount setting in PHD2 no luck. Update2: it looks like the ST4 interface is going in two versions: the ST4 used on many mounts like EQ5/6 and that one which was the original ST-i interface by SBIG. I now made a new cable which hopefully fixes the issue that ASI120MM-S is not guiding. The cable I use was the original from SBIG. Update 3: The tracking is now working. Maybe this difference in ST4 connectors should be documented, saves a lot of work :-).
3) If I access on the Win10 laptop the ASI ST4 component I get an error message wrong return type. I found out if I use a 32 bit access to it it works but hey why is the ASI ST4 Ascom driver in 2017 not 64 bit, the camera driver is.
At the moment I think my new camera has an out of the box issue. Any comments or suggestions how I can solve my issues?
Best Regards,
Dobiray
