1600mm Here we go again image effect...

Well I took the advice in this thread http://zwoug.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6951 and got no where. Plugged every possible light leak and still odd image effect. Here is the latest. A short stack of M96 stacked in Pixinsight. A stretch has been applied but not ABE or DBE yet. I did apply them in a sample instance but it did little to take away the effect seen here...almost an opposite vignetting effect.

As discussed in the previous thread, master darks, master flats, and master bias used. Now no moon, no light leaks. I have no idea what else to try. Had high hopes fro this camera after seeing others images. Not so much anymore.

Image attached ,resized and saved as jpg for size issues.

Apparently my flats are to blame not the camera. Now if I can just figure out a starting point on the flats for this camera.

hi, ncwolfie. thanks for feedback. I think some part of adapter has reflection cause this issue, so maybe you should do something to reduce the reflection.

I had the exact same problem, extremely visible with OIII filters in particular. Tried all sort of things, flocked everything, couldn't get rid of this inverted vignette / darkened center problem. That is until I removed the master bias from the calibration process (only kept the master dark, lights and flats in DSS) which gave an impressively much better result. I'd be interested to know if it's the same for you!

Hi,matdark. simple way to fix this issue is using a pen to draw the side of filter to black,this can reduce the reflaction.
