I have an ASI1600MM-cool with the 8x EFW. I'm using Sequence Generator Pro to control the combination. I'm seeing a problem intermittently.
My filters are loaded this way 1-L, 2-R, 3-G, 4-B, 8-dark.
I am shooting flats and darks - if I run a series with flats followed by darks - the first run positions the filters fine. If I re-run the sequence, it will shoot the flats correctly (filter positions 1-4), but then when it shoots the darks, the filter wheel will go to position 8 (dark filter) - then return to position 6 and then shoot the darks with the wheel at position 6. Then if I re-run a second time, it will go to position 7 for the L filter instead of position 1.
I tried disconnecting SGP from the camera and wheel - then re-connecting, that does not fix it. It appears that I have to disconnect, power the camera and wheel off - then turn them back on , re-start SGP and that gets things running correctly - but just for the first run.
I will say that this does not ALWAYS happen - sometimes I can make multiple runs correctly.
I am still trying to do research to determine the exact sequence that causes the problem.
I'm looking for a way to test/debug better to determine if the problem is with the wheel, the ZWO driver, or SGP - or a combination.
I need help from someone at ZWO please.
If I can't figure this out - I will have to return the ZWO wheel and get a different one.
