White balance on ASI071

What is the best way to set the white balance on an ASI071 ?

I'm using sharpcap. So I've been shooting a piece of white paper in the shade during the day. In sharpcap I adjust the RB sliders until the RGB historgams overlap.

I've also done same but while shooting black road tarmac in the shade.

Is this the best way, or should I not do it at all ?
