AISI174 MM Mono at OAG - LX 200 12" MEADE

Dear All:

I want to Know if anybody have some experience using AISI174 MM Mono camera as guiding in a OffAxis (OAG) & MEADE LX 200 12 inch set up (native resolution without reduction).

Actualy I have a QHY5L II camera (is really sensitive camera) That's not work with this set up.

what do you mean QHY5II is not work for you?

do you mean cannot focus or cannot find a star?

I mean "I can not find star", using QHY5II L Mono Camera (70% QE) with OAG system at MEADE LX200 12". I don´t understand why, because is a very sensitive camera that work very well in my guidescope.

A Person in Cloudy Night told me that I have to use a ZWO 174 camera to this kind of set up (OAG + LX200 12").

Probably the performance of ZWO 174 is bigger than the QH at this set up.

yes, you can use 174 for guiding

174 is 1" format sensor and it must can find one star

The fov is very narrow with MEADE LX 200 12" using OAG.

How long exposure did you use with QHY5II L ?

Try long, maybe 5s (or more).

And you are sure you are focused with OAG ?

I did testing with 5 s and more (with QHY) and there were no star.... I probe in differents zones of sky, and the result was to cartch only one star !!

I will try again, but I don´t have hopes.

I belive that the only way is the 174 ZWO.
