I bought the new ASI 071 back in late December and had an immediate problem with the sensor frosting over when I brought it down to minus 20 c.
I finally sent it back to the vendor for testing. They cleaned it and checked it out and used a couple of dec tabs on it. The end result was that I was told that I would need to leave the dec tab adapter on permanently in order to keep it from frosting up.
Remember that this camera is straight out of the box.
Is this normal for ZWO cooled cameras?
On a note I do live in the southern part of the United States where it is hot. But all this took place in December - April where it was quite cool outside.
