I just got a new ASI071 from Highpoint Scientific earlier in the week. When I was finally able to fire up the camera I found a spot on the image. I cleaned the cover glass and it didn't change. It's somewhat in focus which leads me to believe that it is on the inside of the cover glass or on the sensor. I am willing to try cleaning it if you can provide directions.
If you want, I can set it up and take an image of it...
