Here, I would suggest a version where no nosepiece is present.

In place of the nosepiece, a T2 male screw would be great, so that I could screw my 224

directly to the filter wheel.

So a minor question would be about the "phase" angle between the body screw and the T2 screw,

I don't know whether the female screws on the filter wheels are randomly "phased" or not.

A minor question indeed, since one may rotate at his own will the whole stuff, after the camera has been screwed.

A more complex design could also include an integrated female 31.8 mm filter screw for more specific situations, but I'd be glad with the T2 screw only...

I think the sensor of 224 is so small and don't care the distance between EFW and itself

thanks for your reply.

I wished to try old reflex lenses, for example an old Maksutov telephoto.

Some of these Maks can be cheaply modified, even with the addition of a focal reducer which hopefully doesn't degrade too much the quality at the edge of small sensors.

While I was doing some attempts, I found the follow:

the shorter the total length of the rings, adaptors and filter wheel used, the shorter would be the equivalent focal length.

That said, I understand that the sensor would be less protected from stray light, because of the open sector of the filter wheel in its vicinity. The nosepiece is a shield itself.

But this problem could be easily bypassed.

P.S. To All: please, this is not an invitation to destroy your nice Maksutovs. I did not find any sample imagery through similar setups I described. So I would like to try myself, and because I have no access to any machinery resource I shared my idea.

I understood.

Just for the add, in the most critical situations, I screwed the 224 directly to the filter wheel using the T2-C mount holder as a double male ring, not to be done in the night, not to be done in a hurry.
