Adding mounting holes to EFW

Hi Everybody,

I am looking to re-purpose a EFW such that it will need to be externally supported (i.e., not through the normal mounting to a camera/telescope). Ideally, I would like to drill and tap a few holes into the aluminum body for mounting to a bracket. I'm worried, however, about damaging the internal components. Does anyone know if it's possible to remove and re-install these components?

no, you cannot adding mounting holes to EFW as the thickness of EFW is too thin

the screw won't be long enough to hold it
