I recently purchased this camera for solar and planetary work. I've been successful in using it to capture through my USB2.0 ports, but not the USB3.0 ports on two different computers. The second computer was actually interesting as I tried running it inside my home as a test before taking it outside. It worked during the test but not since then.
The problem I'm running into is that when using FireCapture, I get the "Capture Failed" error. Looking at its tutorial, I tried lowering the USBTraffic down to 40%, but aside from giving me a frame every 30 seconds or so, that didn't fix anything. Using SharpCap, it does get me something... A whopping 0.2fps. As well, I've also tried reinstalling the drivers and using the older ASCOM camera driver.
Reading on the CloudyNights forum, I found somebody recommending to buy a new USB cable, but I feel I shouldn't have to do that given what I paid for this thing. As well, I feel that the USBTraffic to 40% is a poor fix as I expect to not have to step down my frame rate to such an extreme.
I'm really hoping to find a fix soon or I'll need to swap it out or look into the QHY model as I've come across fewer reported issues.
