ASI 120MM not recognized anymore by OS etc.

Hi,

It seams something wend wrong while I tryed to upload the 'compatible' firmware version through the FWTool.

The FWTool did display a message like 'Download not successful' and stopped the process.

After that the device was not selectable any more within FWTool and the OS is claiming that it doesn't have the necessary drivers (tried to reinstall the drivers with no effect).

Needles to say that imaging Software like FireCapute or SharpCap doesn't find the device either.

I also tried to connect to the Cam to my Laptop witch I use in the Field. Same result there.

At least Win7 knows that there is something connect.

For me it seams like the FWTool just crashed the Firmware.. :(

or am I missing something.

Btw: Is there a LogFile for the FWTool ?.. I yes .. where?

Good morning,
I have the same problem with my AS! 120, but unfortunately the quoted link is not active any more.
It seems thet the ZWO User Group site is not active.
How could I solve the problem with my camera ?

Is there a new device appear in the device manager when you connect the camera to PC?

Dear Tech,
in the device manager list I have "Unknown device" and not "WestBridge", anyway I tried the procedure, but windows can't find a correct driver.
My ASI 120 has an USB2 interface and I saw the drivers in the package are for USB3, may be this is the problem.

My camera model is ASI120MM.

I solved by myself, I installed the "Cypress SuiteUSB 3.4"
https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/design-support/tools/sdk/#!designsupport
it should contain also the generic usb drivers for windows (if not, download the correct drivers looking for the controller installed in the camera: CY7C68013, VID_04B4&PID_8613).
From the Cypress usb suite, run the application "USB Control Center" select the correct USB device: "Cypress FX2LP NO EEPROM device", select "Program FX2" and "64 KB EEPROM", open the firmware to be programmed into and confirm.
At the moment the camera is working correctly.

I've got no errors, just the question mark and "Unknown device" and windows saying: "cannot find a correct driver for the device".
