Hello all,
I am looking for one "one for all" ZWO camera for the following two use cases:
1.) Imaging (also large) DSOs with my Canon EF 70-300L lens. Therefore I have variable focal lengths between 70mm and 300mm.
2.) Imaging planets with my Maksutov Cassegrain 1500mm (f11,8) with an additional barlow.
Due to the DSO use case I am looking into cooled cameras only.
On my list I have currently the ASI178MC-Cool and the ASI224MC-Cool (alternatively maybe ASI174MC-Cool).
I have been studying the specs, and also been browsing the web a lot.
IMHO the fields of view should be OK for DSOs with the Canon lens, and also for planets with my Mak.
But two questions remain:
Will one of the chosen cameras work for my use cases also in practice?
And which one would be better?
Is there a camera I have forgotten?
Thanks for any advice!
Clear skies
Stefan
