Odd pattern from MC1600MC-cooled

Hi - I have been having problems with the processed images from my ASI 1600MC-Cooled. I've traced it back to the raw images I'm getting. Every 8 rows, the signal is much lower than the surrounding values (see enclosed image).

For the rest of the image, the values are around 0.13 (scaled by PI, so 1 is the maximum value) or 0.25 depending on whether its an RG or B pixel, but those in every 8th row are 0 or close to it.

This is my first CMOS and OSC camera, but this doesn't seem correct.

So - is this correct? If not, anything I can do to correct it?

I've been looking through my images. On one evening, there was no problem with the images later in the night, but there were problems earlier.

During this period, the temperature dropped a couple of degrees from 13 to 11 degrees (as measured by the temperature in the guiding frames i captured). My cooling set point was set to -20.

Is it possible that the reduced load on the camera caused it work fine, but too much cooling could cause the image I showed above?

this seems some contact hardware issue with the pin of the sensor

you may need to send it back to us for repair if you still have it

The problem seems to be intermittent - I took some flats last night with no problem. I'll experiment a bit and see if I can reproduce it reliably.

How do I return the camera - do I need a return code or just send it back to you?

Dear Sam,

Hi - I'm still having this problem, so I think I will need to send it back. I've managed to reproduce the problem on the Pi and on Windows, and with different USB cables, but it is intermittent. It seems to occur when I move the mount, but again, not all the time, and not in any consistent way that I can determine.

Do I need a return code to do this?

It turns out that the camera had been with Astronomy 365 for some time. Given that Zoltan is going to send me a replacement instead of waiting for the repair.

we found it's a FPGA bug, so we can do a remote update to fix it

don't need to send it back to us
