ASI1600MC-C tilted sensor? Nope, bad optics.

Hi,

I have an ASI1600MC-C bought in April and I think it has sensor tilt. I tested my scope with my dslr and the stars in the corner are round. I have checked back spacing from the focal reducer/ field flattener and I am at manufacturer spec. I tested the camera at back spacing from -5mm to +5mm at 1mm increment spacing and the results are the same. I have rotated the camera and the issue always remains in the same place on the sensor. I bought the tilt adjuster and have tested tilt at 0.5mm, 1mm, and the maximum amount of tilt I could get on the adapter with tilt at the top, left, right, and botton and no adjustment I make has any effect.

Any help is appreciated.

it's very strange if a tilted issue cannot be fixed with tilt adjuster

do you think this is caused by incorrect distance to your focal plane

The back spacing is correct. The documentation from stellarvue says 66mm and I am at 66.2mm including the 6.5mm to the sensor. I've tested other back spacing and it doesn't correct the issue. The only thing I haven't tried is testing the camera on another telescope to see if the issue is with the refractor. The forecast is for clear skies later this week and will test it on my SCT.

I managed to test the camera on a different scope last night, sure enough the stars were round from corner to corner. The problem must be with my refractor or field flattener/ focal reducer. Sorry for the confusion, I've loved the camera so far but thought based on testing the problem was with it.
