Having just purchased this camera yesterday it is slightly frustrating that it doesn't come with any form of power supply which makes it needing to be more careful to get the right power supply as I don't want to risk damaging the camera.
Question: The manual says "at least a 12V@3A" so as long as I get a power supply that is regulated and sticks at 12V DC then can the power supply be rated to more than 3A without damaging the camera?
i.e. with a fixed voltage I assume that the camera will only draw the 3A that it needs and cannot be damaged if the power supply is rated at 5A or higher.
It would be useful to get a power supply that can be used to power other parts of the setup too such as the telescope mount.
I am UK based - can anyone recommend a good UK power supply for this camera?
