Im really glad to see that big clunky USB3 Type B connector replaced by something smaller. Now if only something sealed to IP65 was possible...

Will these new mini cameras still have the same size chip as their larger brothers?

Is that a USB3.1-C connector on the back?

Could you also give us a ball park date for release? 3 months, 6 months?

I am going to buy the 174mm as my next camera, probably the color version, but the 174MM mini would be a nice addition too.

Would save me $100 for the 290 as I want one of those cameras too!

How do these cameras do on an OAG? Also why did you go with a USB2 and not USB3 on the AIS174MM Mini?

I am trying to post a question regarding the ASI290 guider port pin out....when using a ST-4 cable, PHD software gets bad calibration data.

I checked the wiring diagram and find that ZWO guiders, although claiming and illustrating a ST-4 pin out, use totally different pin out than ST-4 protocols on my SBIG guider ST-i.

Actually you are compatible with Orion or Vixen, not SBIG....

My mount is a Takahashi EM-400 with the new guider port and RD-12 communication cable.

SBIG pin 1 +RA

ZWO pin 1 N/C

SBIG pin 2 +DEC

ZWO pin 2 GND

And so on...

Looks like a full cable reversal 1 for 6, 2 for 5, 3 for 4, 4 for 3, 5 for 2 and 6 for 1.

The ST4 port on ASI camera is compatible with ASIAIR

just the line order of Takahashi is different from others

so you have to make a special cable
