Sam, i see you mentioned a new camera coming in the future. Can you provide any details at this time?
385 is a big brother of 224
same pixel size but 1/2" format
0.7e readout noise even a little better than 224
very small amp-glow
it will be next most popular color camera for planetary imaging and even DSO imaging camera
Similar pricing?
price will be $399 as ASI178
That sounds great!! When will this be available to purchase?
hi,
do you need beta-tester?
I use my camera asi224mc to photograph deep sky and I search a sensor a little bigger with the same reading noise.
Stephane
Hi Sam,
Hi all,
A great new !! I was waiting for it !
Most important question for me : do you plan an anti-amp glow electronic system as
done on the updated PCB for ASI 224 ?
Thanks.
Albéric
yes, it build in anti-amp glow design
so it suitable for long exposure design just like 224
we are going to release soon

Sounds interesting!
When to you plan to start sales?
I have been looking at the 1600MC but this much more interesting. I am interested in planetary nebula and galaxies.
The price seems really really good
If there is a beta program, I certainly would be interested.
thanks for your guys' interest
we will prepare and release soon
you cannot tell the amp-glow for exposure shorter than 1s
I have a plan to buy a planet camera, and my 2 options or high recommendations I've got are ASI224 and ASI290, so should i wait this new camera or better i go with one of the 2?
