Well i can't change my environment without going to a dark site and I've seen others get good pictures in highly light polluted areas.
I will try the unity gain setting as a starting point. I'm assuming that 139 gain and an offset of 21 is what you mean.
I've tried several DSO's and I don't seem to be able to pull out any nebulae or dust in my images. The stars come out fine but everything else gets washed away in the sky glow. I had been using Sharpcap and the image stacking option, but it only stacked the images if the gain was set much higher.
Hoping the lower gain and the LPro filter will help.
