Your situation is normal.
If you want exposure time less than 1s and transmit stability, you must use a shorter cable.
When exposure time is greater than 1s, we will enable a wait mode in our camera. This means that we will wait for data before transmission. If image time less than 1s, we will close this mode, Because it takes too long, and affect the frame rate.
For a long cable, the transmission is unstable. the wait mode has some effect on solving the problem. If close the wait mode, the transport will go wrong.
Beside, In the USB3.0 specification, the maximum transmission distance is 5m. even 5m requires a very good cable. So we really can't guarantee the results of such a long cable.
