I have used both Nebulosity and TheSkyX (as well as Sharpcap) for capture. I have settled on using TheSkyX due to the seamless integration of mount control, auto guiding, and image capture.
There is a complex interaction of camera characteristics, sky light pollution, etc to arrive at the optimum gain/image duration. Pixinsight has some tools that help to extract the sensor parameters and also extract sky background LP and recommend the maximum image capture duration. Based on my settings, I get a max 10min image duration. I must admit that I am still learning on this - I have tried both gain=300 and gain=200 at various durations (3, 5, 7, 10 min). I look forward to seeing what you can do with your set up and learning from your experience.
