How dead is my camera ?

So sadly my 120mc got soaked from rain I wanted to do a time lapse of the night sky sadly a storm came while I was in the middle of taking a shower the camera pretty much got wet,

Now the camera shows tons of hot pixels in a dark frame but in a light frame there are no hot pixels.

With dithering you can get it away.

Luckily the guys on Astronomyforums.net showed a picture having the gain at 50% doing a 4 second exposure after seeing that it appears that's what my problem was the night I tried to do a time lapse of the night sky I was trying to find settings that would work to see stars tried a few things I had a small bit of luck if I increase the exposure and gain but when I do that pixels start showing up so can't figure what settings to use without getting hot pixels when I'm trying to do a time lapse.

setting the gain to 0 and doing say a 15 second exposure it's less pixels so I hope I need to adjust the settings a bit more on Sharpcap so that I can do longer exposures without a bunch of pixels.
