NGC 7009 is a small planetary nebula found in Aquarius, it was discovered by Herschel in 1782 but it was Lord Rosse in 1840 who gave it the name of the Saturn nebula, with his 91 cm he saw the handles on each side of the nebula that reminds one of Saturn.
Its distance is poorly known like many planetary nebula, the last figures speak of 5000 LY.
It has a large surface magnitude (Mg 8), so it is perfect for high-speed high-speed poses (exposure: 500ms ,gain: 450 for 3200mm focal length).
