I don't care much about its noise performance as i won't use this camera or alike for DSO, i want only planetary or Solar/Lunar camera, i mean Solar system, sure if it is a big brother of 224 then it is capable for that, but how much better is what i think about.

One night, I planned to test ASI 385 on Uranus and Neptune but clouds

came quickly and session was finished !

From my experience on both ASI 185 and ASI 224 plus these tests on Moon/bright DSO,

I'm sure that ASI 385 will be a great choice for planetary use. Both for RVB color

images or for Infra-Red imaging with an Ir-pass filter. And good for all planets as it's

possible to chose between large field (Jupiter and Saturn with their moons) or very

close field (using ROI for Mars, Venus, Uranus, Nepture).

Ok, i think until that time next year i may see more examples and images from this camera, then later i can decide if it is the one or not, still not in rush so i have time to wait and see.

I bought a non-cooled version for the awesome planetary season coming up (Mars). Read this article about the sensor it looks pretty promising.

An Update news, i ordered this camera from ZWO site, i saw they have that $50 off for order over $500, so i included the camera with another items and i've got that -$50, wish if it lasts longer because i don't have good budget now but didn't want to miss that, i hope i can recover soon, and i can wait long for the camera because i don't have good solar system scope and i already have a camera for DSO .
