Amp Glow with ASI1600 MMC Pro

Hi Sam,

I recently bought the Pro version of this camera as it claims on your website that it eliminated amp glow with the use of a buffer:

New PCB Board and DDRIII Memory Buffer

ASI1600MM Pro camera upgrade PCB board, includes one 256MB DDRIII memory buffer to help data transfer more stable and no amp-glow issue which is caused by the slow speed data transfer during reading out under USB2.0 Port.

I am getting as much amp glo as the ver 1 camera I had been using. I have the latest drivers installed for ASI. Am I doing something wrong or is amp glo still an issue. Note that I have not calibrated this file with darks. I wanted to see if the amp glo was indeed gone.

sorry, the Pro version doesnot mean it has no amp-glow

this amp-glow in your image is normal for this sensor

the Pro version just get rid of amp-glow which is caused by slow transfer when use USB2.0 port

Can you confirm that with this camera the offset is set to 50 at all gains?

yes, you are correct and the gain is limited to analog gain
