ASI 071 Pro Neophyte

Hi folks,

Brand new to forum and just got a 071 Pro and am starting to have a few questions:

1. Testing out 071 with SharpCap and it indicates connecting to USB 2 when the PC (not laptop) is USB 3. Any ideas?

2. Does it make a difference the order the 12v power supply and the USB are connected and disconnected?

3. Testing being done in office with camera senor cap in place. Is it ok to run the heater (or should it even be run) with cap in place?

4. During actual shooting, should the heater be run all the time? And if not, how do you know when to run? (only if dewing occurs?)

Thanx for the info and patience. I'm coming from film (many years ago) and more recently, DSLR.

1. It should be ok.

2. No difference for most cases

3. Yes. The heater can be always ON.

4. You can leave it ON. It will need more power but it is OK.
