Severe Chip or Cover Glass Reflexion on ASI1600-MM

Hello Forum,

I am using a ASI1600MM-C for nearly one year with great success. Last month I discoverd a very strange behaviour around bright stars. Estimations of the light path lead to the conclusion that it is

scattered light from the cover glass or the chip itself. Reflected by the filters in the filter wheel.

It is mostly seen with reflectors, and occured with ZWO and Baader filters (in right direction). It is seen heavy on narrowband filters but is still present on broadband LRGB-filters.

Is there a replacement glass available or a trick to reduce this strange backscattered light

sorry only sensor factory can do something with the sensor

but you can let the sensor face the opposite of the filter wheel

so the distance from sensor to filter is longer

then refection should less

Ok, that light is scatterd from the Chip not from the glass of the ccd chamber, isn't it?

So, it is not usefull to change that glass.

the protect window of the camera is AR coated

so I think the reflexion is come from the sensor glass which is not coated

OK, thanks for clarification, I would not change the sensor glass.
