ASI120MC Unable to connect via USB

Hi All,

I recently bought an ASI120MC and have been trying to configure it to capture images in Ubuntu. As part of this process I used the firmware upgrade tool to apply the "ASI120MC-compatible.iic" firmware. Before this, I was unable to capture images but the camera was connecting properly and was recognized as an ASI120MC. Some time after applying the firmware update my laptop stopped recognizing the camera as a USB device and was unable to connect. I have since tried to connect the camera on a separate laptop (Windows instead of Ubuntu) with no success. In Windows I get an "Unknown USB Device" error even though I've installed all the appropriate drivers.

Is it possible that the USB firmware in the device has been corrupted? Any ideas on next steps?

can you check the VID and PID of this unknown device

we suggest you to patch your kernel instead of flash the firmware

I'm actually in a very similar situation on a ASI 120MM USB 2.0 on Ubuntu LTS 16.04, which I firmware flashed with the updated firmware file (zwo_fwtool_usb2.tar.bz2), and I can no longer see the USB device when I plug the camera on a USB port on any kernel (windows, MAC OS, linux). How can I flash with a working firmware?
