My filter wheel had been having this issue where when I start up is spins and spins and it has taken 30-40 minutes before it stops. I have eventually had it stop and line up on the filter 1. However, now it just keeps spinning. I cant use it. What is wrong and how do I fix it?
Well now the filter wheel wont stop spinning. I plug in the USB and it just starts spinning and wont stop. When I try and recalibrate with the ASCOM driver, it says recalibration failed. This product is dead. I am asking my dealer for a replacement. What is wrong with this thing?? Any reply???

I have this same problem. I bought it approx 7 months ago as part of a kit that included the 1600mm-cool and the 7 filters. I only had a solar scope at the time. Now that I just received my stellarvue scope, I started testing everything and my EFW spins. I'll check and see if I can return to dealer but it was part of a kit so I don't know if they will just send me the EFW. If not, I'll let you know so it can be replaced under warranty.

maybe because of dusts cover the IR sensor
you can try to blow away any dusts on the PCB and do a re calibrate process on our ASCOM driver
then check if it works

It never worked. I left it in the original packaging until I was ready to use it. The first time I plugged it in, it just kept spinning. I did use a blower to clean the inside but there was no dust in there anyway. I sent you a PM.
