Hello ZUGies - I assume the two flexible spacers supplied with the Camera are to be used between the EFW / Camera to get it to orient in line with camera. Please confirm / enlighten me & Merry Christmas to all! tnx, Mike
yes, this is used to adjust the rotation of the camera
Tnx Mr. SAM!
Ive been SX / SBIG user since ~2000. Out of curiosity I just purchased & received your ASI 1600 Pro. If it works as good as it's 1st class packaging / accessories, i will be very happy. Rgds & tnx agn, Mike
Can you elaborate on how to use these spacers? I don't see them mentioned in any documentation. Do they fit on both sides of the EFW?

you don't know the final position when you screw the camera to the EFW
so you can add spacer to the male M42 part of the camera to adjust the position

But are the spacers needed to achieve proper focus with a lens, using the EF-adapter? I get weird stars in the corners indicating wrong spacing, would the provided spacers help?

I believe the spacers are just for lining up the camera/EFW to have the motor assembly at the 6 oclock position. They are quite thin and probably wouldn't impact spacing for imaging in any visible way.
i found i had to make spacers from thin polythene to get the right spacing - one was too thick and one too thin so ended cutting some from polythene and a craft knife
works a treat :)
Can you buy additional spacers that come with the camera, I am talking about the 4 x thin plastic ones and if so where?
