Hi, I have a question about taking flats with ASI1600MC PRO.
This is my first time to use a one-shot color CMOS, and I am wondering how you guys are viewing RGB histogram of flats. From my experience with Canon EOS6D, I believe it is better to adjust RGB of flats (not just ADU). But I do not see RGB histogram of FITS files on any of my acquisition softwares (SGP, APT). What I can see is histogram of tonal distribution of pixels.
I am using an LED flat panel and some translucent color films combined to make the histrogram of RGB as close to grey as possible. With one-shot color CMOS, do I need to take the flat FITS files and de-bayer them every time with a processing software and see the histogram??
Or should I not care about this at all??
So far, I have not experiented much. In any case I would like to know what others are doing..
P.S.
I am not here to discuss histogram itself. Some say it should be grey, others say it should resemble that of Lights, but this is not what I want to know.
Thanks.
