I just got this camera for christmas and was surprised by the amount of noise in a 1 sec dark. I am a novice and need to know if this is normal for a 1 sec shot out of a zwo guide scope with the cap on. Taken with nebulosity. Taken on unity gain.
Anyone?
I would say that looks pretty normal.
It's not going to be very good DSO camera but it works nicely as a guide/planetary cam.
And you can use darks to minimize effect (I have a dark library in use with PHD2).
