I didn’t have any probs with my v3 last winter, although it wasn’t particularly cold here last winter, low single digits...
I think the “closed” designs, while not air tight, create an air temperature buffer.
With the v1 camera, putting a dew heater around the filter wheel or adapter between the two was popular to warm the air up on the scope side of the sensor window, but I didn’t have any issues with my refractor and v1 either :
