My new ASI178MM will work fine and then will simply stop downloading frames, and no amount of resetting, unplugging, rebooting will seem to work. I can't find any pattern in its behaviour to work out when it will download frames, but when it does, it works absolutely perfectly. When not downloading, I can set roi, set binning etc in shaprcap and it can connect/reconnect fine, but no frames come down. I have tried multiple USB3 cables/ports and my ASI1600M works fine on the same machine and even with the same Sharpcap session when I try that camera. I am not sure what else I can do with this ASI178MM. I have also tried different programs (FireCapture, PHD2, SGP) and also tried the ASCOM driver, but nothing I do seems to trigger it back to working life. Very frustrating, as it sometimes works fine!
