ASCOM ASI 1600 DRIVER BAD SETTINGS?

I just had to do a reinstall of OS and astronomy software on my Windows 10 64bit imaging PC. After installing ASCOM and the ASI drivers and trying to use the ASCOM ASI driver in APT or from the ASCOM diags, I get the following setup window for the ASI 1600 which doesn't match what I used to get. Specifically, the gain only has a range out to 300 instead of 600 which I recall previously. If I use Sharpcap with the direct (non-ASCOM) connection to the ASI 1600, it allows me to set a gain up to 600 as well. Any ideas what's going on in the ASCOM side? I've installed:

ASCOM Platform 6.3 v6.3.0.2831

ZWO ASI Cameras Driver Setup V3.0.0.3

ASICamera ASCOM Setup V1.0.3.15

Hi John,

The gain above 300 is the digital gain, and adjusting this gain does not have much effect in ASCOM. So we just kept the analog gain part.

For ASCOM, always be 300.

And all of our cameras are the same.
