Moon 2/27/18 ASI224MC

Here is my Moon image from Monday Night, It is a composite of two video shots taken through my C8-A SCT on a CGEM Mount. It is taken with a ZWO ASI-224MC Astro Camera. I used a stacked focal reducer arrangement to get the wide field. (I can give you more details if any would like to know about that?) Filtering is a Baader Moon and Sky Glow and a Violet Cut filter. I am still trying to get the exposure right. Can any of the more experienced hands offer any advice on not blowing out the crater rims and mountain peaks while not underexposing the rest of the image?

why to use a Baader Moon and Sky Glow and a Violet Cut filter?

Just a IR/UV filter is ok!

B&W Exposure ASI 224MC => use a IR-pass (642nm) filter

not blowing out the crater rims and mountain peaks

Play with exposure time en gain to get the right image
