Best Accuracy with ASI178MC

my understanding is that the only way to keep the best accuracy (14bits ADC) with the ASI178MC

is to work in RAW16 format, because all the other format as RAW8, RGB24 and MONO8 are working in 8bits only

is that assumption right ?
