How do I tell a pro version from version 2? ASI1600 MC-C

I just bought a preowned asi1600 MC-C from OPT. The guy on the phone said it was version 2 with the desiccant packs. He did not sound 100% sure of himself though. When I opened it up there was no place to screw the desiccant holder. There was a black dot type of cover over a hole that I thought would accept the holder, but when I took it off with my finger nail it seemed like it was glued in place and it was solid underneath. It did not have threads to screw the desiccant holder Into.

Is it possible that this is the PRO version?

Is there any way to tell from looking at the camera what version it is?

When I connect to my computer is there a way to see what version it is?

It has the usb hub on the back so I know it’s either V2 or PRO.

you don't need to open it as this is used to protect the camera CMOS chamber for seal

the software will show like "ASI1600MC Pro" if it's Pro version

otherwise it show like ASI1600MC-Cool

Sharpcap shows this camera to be asi1600mc-cool.

I did not receive an owners manual since it was a pre-owned camera.

How can I access an older owners manual?

The camera came with the screw in desiccant holder but there is no place to put it. I think it was put in the box by mistake.

Where do the desiccant tabs go?

Do I have to take the 4 hex screws on the face plate off for access ?

we used to provide desiccant tabs

but we stopped it as the customer can recharge the desiccant inside the camera

there is no much difference between your version and Pro version

so you can look at the manual of this one

Anti-dew function of 1600v3, use the heat of TEC warm side to keep the protective window away from dew problem.
