I just purchased an ASI071MC Pro. I am experiencing erratic USB Mouse movements on my laptop and am having problems with Open PHD Guide 2 connecting to my QHY5L-II auto-guider.
My H/W setup is as follows:
- Lenovo E440 laptop running Windows 7 Pro x64 with 12GBytes of DDR3 memory and 1TByte SSD disk. The E440 has 1ea USB 3 port and 2ea USB 2.0 ports.
- Logitech M305 USB Mouse
- QHY5L-II mono auto-guider
- QHY PoleMaster
- ASI071MC Pro
My O/S setup is as follows:
- Windows 7 Pro x64 is up to date including its device drivers.
- The Lenovo drivers are about 18 months old.
My S/W setup is as follows
- QHY PoleMaster Ver 3.2.8
- QHY5L-II Driver
- Open PHD Guide 2 Rel 2.6.4 Dev 9
- Nebulosity 4.1.8e
- SharpCap 3.1.5108.0
- ZWO ASI Driver Ver 3.0.3
I plug the ASI071MC Pro into the USB3.0 port using the supplied cable. The USB Logitech 'Receiver' is plugged into a USB2.0 port. When the ASI071MC Pro is plugged in there’s erratic mouse movement at times. When I run Nebulosity and connect to the camera the erratic movement tends to increase. When I run Open PHD Guide 2 I can connect to the QHY5L-II auto-guider but I cannot capture any images or data. The display screen just shows snow.
I have seen a post saying something about adjusting the USB speed or frame-rate in a past post but can’t find it. Its almost like there’s too much data coming over the USB line and the different data paths are interfering with each other. The ASI071MC Pro does work but the response is slow... The mouse pad on the laptop is more responsive than the wireless mouse. My MAJOR ISSUE is that Open PHD Guide and the QHY5L-II no longer work. When the ASI071MC Pro is disconnected everything returns to normal.
I can use some help here. What’s the problem???
