1. are the image files saved to the iPad or to a sd card in the ASIair ?

2. please oh please will it support a live stacking function for eaa ?

3. will it support planetary image/video capture ?

4. how is it powered ?

5. thank you for building this, it may solve issue of poor mac support in astronomy world, esp if it will support eaa and planetary capture

6. option for external antenna for longer wifi range would be nice

no, DSO only, because wifi is slow

I think you mean IOS? yes, this is a portable solution

this is great - as part of our society outreach I am trying to show that AP does not need large amounts of money

I am def interested in beta testing for you (I work in IT too - so happy to log defects as part of UAT)

I am trying to put together some hardware to run some astronomy apps on for the society and want to know if an 8 or 10 inch android tablet would be suitable

this is a very interesting commercial solution. I have some technical questions:

1. What is the operating temperature range? Escpecially the lower temperatures?

2. What is type of power input connector is used?

3. Does the ASIair operate on 5 GHz wifi? The 2,4 GHz wifi channels are mostly crowed by neighbor networks which drops down the bandwidth alot.

It looks like the internal hardware is some type of raspberry pi. Right?

I am also using some raspberrys for accessing my ASI cameras via Wifi for a while. I think the micro usb power connector is not very stable. I think a 12 V DC plug like on your cooled cameras will be more handy.

it based on PI, so temperature range is the same of PI, maybe -5 to 40 degree, too high temperature lower the performance

we will provide one 12V-5V DC converter to work with it

yes, it supports 5G and 2.4G, you can switch between them
