I ran through the forums and I'm not finding an answer that's solving my problem
I got a 7 position EFW today. I have ASCOM 6.3 and have installed the latest ASCOM and Windows Drivers for my EFW and my ASI1600MM Pro.
I connected everything up and, for a while tonight, everything was working fine. The ASI1600MM is plugged directly into my computer via USB3 and the EFW is plugged into the ASI camera USB ports. It was working on both SGP and APT and I ran some sequences with it, etc. I unplugged it to re-route some cables and when I plugged it back in, nothing is able to find/connect to the EFW now. When I plug the USB cable into it, I get the little chime sound from Windows but it sounds like the chime that happens when something is unplugged, not the sound I get when something is being plugged in. Sometimes it chimes when I plug it in and then there's a second chime several seconds later as if it's being disconnected again. Anyway, Windows is telling me something is being connected/disconnected, so I know something is happening. But now when I try to connect the EFW in any program, I get either a message saying the program is having difficulty connecting to the EFW or one saying that an EFW is not found. I've plugged the EFW directly into both USB2 and 3 ports, different ones, both ports on the ASI camera, tried a different cable, re-installed the ASCOM driver for the EFW, rebooted the computer, you name it. Nothing is fixing it. The ASCOM setup shows EFW 1 and 2 and I've tried both as well.
What's left to try? Could the thing have gone bad in a couple hours of use?
Thanks:
