Dew problem ==> desiccant tube for "Pro"-model, too ?

Hallo,

I have read Ben's post that ASI 071 PRO has a dew-problem, too.

And I experienced that yesterday in my first session with cooling down to minus 10 degree. Dew control was "on".

Maybe you can deliver a desiccant tube, like other camera manufacutes do.

You delivered one for the "old" ASI 071 cool but you discontinued delivery for the new "Pro" model.

But I guess that tube is neccesary for the Pro-model, too !

In my opinion it can't be a good solution that the customer has to open the cmos chamber. Dust is then inavoidable.

A normal customer normally doesn't have a kind of clean room to perform that task properly.

If such a tube can be bought from my dealer I will do so...

I will try my old tube from my QHY10-camera... Mayby it will fit in...

What now ? Opening the camera for acessing the "pills" is no good...

I have a ASI 071Pro too and despite having had three sessions now, in which I had cooled the camera down to -15,

I didn't have any problems. Was it an extremy damp night? How did you realize that there was a dew problem, what did

the picture look like? Just asking, if I encounter the same problem.

But I also would be interested to know how to change the pills in the camera.

desiccant tube is not a efficient way to stop dew problem. Sometimes it takes days, sometimes it makes worse dew, because the seal is break when you open the airlock screw and maybe open it for many times.

Open the camera front piece follow manuals, it's very efficient and useful. some "Cool" camera works again quickly through this way.
