So with more and more vendors coming out with their own version of the famous ASI1600 that ZWO pioneered, the one feature I am still surprised is not out there is adding a true shutter. It is maybe not as important for situations where you are running your gear in person, but for remote installations, it greatly simplifies the acquisition of dark frames. Whoever comes out with the first mono CMOS based 4/3 or larger camera with an integrated shutter will instantly be ahead of all the other companies. I am looking at getting a remote setup installed, and I would buy a 2nd ASI1600 camera (I love the one I have!) in a heartbeat if it only had this feature.
Has anyone at ZWO considered this?
