more usb ports on the zwo camera

Hi, some people also have, in addition to the guiding cam and filter wheel a mount, and an adaptive optics, and maybe want the pictures to go on an usb stick.

If the zwo cameras would have e.g. 3 usb ports more, one would need shorter cables, since not everything would need a long cable to the laptop...

The fewer and the shorter cables one needs, the better it is for mobile setups... (this cable work is always getting on my nerves)

If one camera internal usb port is used for controlling the mount and two cameras and an adaptive optics, this may cause problems with latency and noise.... I don't know I'm not an engineer..

Currently, I have no more feature ideas, that would be all for now....

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes, we were thinking about USB ports, for now looks like there is no place to put more ports.

Most Imagers should consider mounting a Powered USB3 Hub directly on the Mount. (It allows for all USB Cables to be shorter and centralized; then a single USB3 Cable and one Power Cable to be run from the Mount down to the Laptop.)

So much of the Electronics on an Imaging Rig is now USB-Powered that it is impractical to expect the Laptop USB3 Port to provide sufficient Power.

AO Units

Flip-Flat Units

There are several 12V powered Hubs available - but only a few WITHOUT all those ridiculous Blue LEDs.

Perhaps ZWO could work with one of the OEMs to produce an "Astro-Adapted" USB3 Hub - Dim Red LEDs; Good Grounding Protection; Weatherized.

And then ZWO would have another Accessory to add to the Product Line.

Thanks for your suggestion. You know there are many USB3.0 Hub on market, if demand from users is not much, the cost will be rise, cause the price will be higher than market.
