Camera does not seem to work properly

I have been having trouble with my ASI178mc cooled. Last night, it seemed that both Sharpcap and Nebulosity would sometimes communicate with the camera and sometimes not. With Sharpcap, sometimes I got an image on the computer and sometimes not. With Nebulosity, it would hang on 99% done and then say “nothing from the camera in the last 30 seconds.”

When I used it with ASICAP it worked fine.

It is very confusing.

Could this be a usb cable problem? I broke the cable that came with the camera so I bought another USB 3.0 cable. However, it is not flat like the ones on your website.

I have seen a lot of discussion about banding and USB speeds. Could this be similar?

Is there maybe a firmware update? Should I reinstall the drivers or reinstall Sharpcap?

This VERY frustrating. I do not know if the problem is the camera or me.
