ASI1600MM Vertical Banding

The attached image is from a combined RGB taken with the ASI1600MM Cooled. The R,G,and B images also all show the same banding. This seems to occur quite often. Subframes were all at -20C, 10 sec, calibrated with flats & bias. Any hints as to what may be happening here?

I think maybe this is bias problem

please don't use bias and try again

or use 0.2s to make the bias frame instead of lowest exposure

Stack light frames without any calibrate frames, does is have this banding issue?

I have stacked the subframes without any calibration (no flats or bias or darks) and still have the same vertical banding issue. I will take a series of new bias (.2sec) and try once again. :?

OK, what gain and offset did you use?

I believe that the settings were Unity Gain as set through the ZWO driver.

Could be electrical issues - the USB power? interference between the camera and nearby power cables?

If it helps I had horizontal banding on my ASI1600 which was caused by using a different manufacturers (also Chinese) camera as a guide cam. I lowered the usb traffic setting on both cameras and that seemed to have cured it.

P.S. USB is digital so that should not happen but I suspect some timing differences are causing interference leading to my banding issue.

Still working on it. We recommend to use over 0.2s exposure to take bias.
