I have been all over this and clearly missing the obvious. Using Firecapture, I set up to take some photos of Mars and Saturn the other night (had this camera about 3 months). I had the camera plugged into a 3.0 powered USB hub. I set the number of exposures and hit capture... it got a few then nothing... I kept getting the capture failed message. Ok, after trying the USB traffic slider, I re-cabled and put it directly into a 3.0 usb port... worked great.
Last night, I was trying Jupiter. All the same (permanent setup in a dome) I hit capture... nothing. I did not get the failure message, butno images were captured. With a tear in my eye, I turned out the lights to troubleshoot in the daylight.
Clearly I am missing something, but what? Today I will try a new USB cable - any other suggestions?
