Asiair for alt-az mounts

Hey there,

I have a Celestron Nexstar Evolution 9.25, so an alt-az mount.

I am interested into Asiair, but on product description I’ve read about support just for equatorial mounts.

Are alt-az mounts supported directly and/or through Sky Safari ?

Thanks for the feedback, anyway I’m not sure I understand if it’s definitively supported or not.

On Asiair product page the description says that just equatorial mounts are supported.

On Asiair FAQ page, while answering to one of the first questions, it says that the Celestron Nexstar Evolution 9.25 is NOT supported.

Then few questions after, it says that alt-as mounts are not supported.

Then few questions after, it says that any mount that has INDI support is supported by Asiair as well, and then there’s your reply here: as there’s lot of conflicting infos, any concrete proof or final confirmation would be welcome.

Well, it's a lot of types, and names, confused. Finally, we believe this answer is simple and correct, the mounts which INDI supported will be supported by ASIAIR.

alt-az mount is on list, it is supported.

I have a celestron evolution alt/az mount with star sense. According to indi its supported. My question is if i do an alignment with the star sense hand controller(not sky safari) theni do plate solve corrections to the mount. I think the connection would be Asiair-->>cable-->>star sense hand controller with mini usb port. I would then do a goto to an object using the star sense hand controller, then do a plate solve to have Asiair center the object in the camera. Not using Skysafari. Skysafari and my evolution mount wifi have issues as many evolution mounts do.
