zwo ASI o94 and sharpcap

Hi All, I am using my ASI 094 0n windows 8 with sharp cap but have difficulty getting a good screen picture to allow for focusing- it is very dark. I tried using the screen gamma and picture boost but it doesn't make much difference. I end up having to open the file in another programme to check my focus and framing. Any help appreciated

turn up the gain and extend exposure will get bright preview. and ROI( read a small area) will reach faster fps for focusing.
