Hi,
I am putting together a new imaging rig that uses as a main camera an ASI1600MMCV3 and as a guide camera an ASI120MM. The host computer is windows 10 32bit laptop with 2G of ram. I am using MaximDL to drive the cameras. The host laptop only have USB2 ports, so even is connected and running on USB2.
The ASI1600 is very fast and reliable it reads and download an uncropped 1x1 frame in 1-2 secs, however when I tried to use the 120MM to autoguide it takes up to 30s to download a single frame. Even cropped frames of 100x100 pixels takes a very long time to download.
Sometimes the first frame takes very long and then the subsequence frames are fast, however if you crop the frame it will take a very long time to download the first cropped frame.
I have tried changing the bit depth from 16 to 8, the USB limit, gain offset etc with no luck. I have also swapped usb cables with no luck.
Any idea what is going on? I've found very strange that the 1600 works very fast given the size of the frame compared to the 120.
Do I have a defective camera?
